Dubai has a huge amount to offer for tourists, but to get a better understanding of this amazing place and why so many people visit it we met and spoke with Jessica Gibson of The Travelista about her recent time in Dubai. About Dubai

Dubai is a city that has literally sprung out of the desert and is now famous for its skyscrapers, incredible beaches and developments such as the Palm Islands. If you are seeking opulent hotels, restaurants and shopping centres, here you will be spoiled for choice. It won’t come as a surprise to learn that Dubai has been called the “Shopping Centre of the Middle East”. And if you are seeking some adventure there is a stunning desert just outside the city which a range of activities for your pleasure. However if golf is more for you, rest assured there is plenty of choice.

Dubai attracted 11.95 millions visitors in 2014, the majority of which come from neighbouring Middle Eastern countries, placing Dubai 5th in the list of Top 10 cities by international overnight visitors. When you consider how quickly Dubai has developed as a destination and built up its tourism industry, the statistics are even more impressive.
