If you want to experience the bright lights of Sin City, why not check out our range of London to Las Vegas flights here at Globehunters today.

Renowned for its extravagant casinos and hotels, Las Vegas is the gambling capital of the world, and no visit would be complete without a flutter at the tables or on the slot machines.

Away from the casinos (or often within them actually!), you’ll find all kinds of other things to see and do, including lots of great shopping malls, such as the Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian Hotel & Casino.

And if you want to escape the bright lights of the city, why not take a jaw-dropping helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon, or take a hike up the nearby Mount Charleston?

In terms of weather, Vegas is a lot hotter than London, with an average summer temperature of 34°C, although you can rest assured that all of the casinos and hotels are well air conditioned.

During the winter, temperatures are a lot more bearable, with an average of around 8°C.

The average flight time from London to Las Vegas is around ten and a half hours, with 18 flights a week flying direct to McCarran regularly.

Upon arrival at McCarran International Airport, flights from the UK arrive at Terminal 3, where you’ll find bus stops just outside the arrival hall.

The Westcliff Airport Express, Centennial Express, RTC 108 and RTC 109 buses all charge $2 (about £1.60) for a single and will take you to the Strip or downtown.

There are also taxis available outside and these will cost about $18-30 (£15-£24) to the Strip, or upwards of $35 (£29) if you’re heading downtown.

A couple of things to remember:
- You don’t need a visa to visit the US, as long as you’re travelling for less than 90 days, although you’ll have to fill out an ESTA online at least 72 hours before travelling.
- Las Vegas is eight hours behind London.
- The currency is the US Dollar ($).
