If you’re looking to visit one of the most stunning cities in the world, why not check out our range of Manchester to Cape Town flights, one of Africa’s most popular tourist destinations.

Surrounded by rugged coastlines and landscapes, the main sight in Cape Town is, of course, Table Mountain, which towers over the city with breathtaking views.

Other than the obvious hiking trips up Table Mountain, other outdoor activities around Cape Town include paragliding, shark cage diving, mountain biking and sailing.

Other highlights include the colourful Bo-Kaap neighbourhood, which is home to a number of pastel coloured houses, and the sobering Robben Island, which is where Nelson Mandela spent 18 of his years in imprisonment.

South Africa is also well known for its winemaking, if you venture a little outside of the city to the vineyards at Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl.

It’s also renowned as a very creative city, with numerous festivals and public events to enjoy.

Finally, no trip to Africa would be complete without meeting some of the local wildlife, so be sure to head to the Solole Game Reserve where you can see antelope, black rhinos, buffalos and more.

Flights into Cape Town will arrive at Cape Town International Airport, where you can either take a taxi or bus, or hire a car.

Taxis are metered and will cost around R300-400 (£13-18) and to board the MyCiti buses to the city centre (which leave every 20 minutes), you’ll need to buy a Myconnect card which can be topped up throughout your stay.

Finally, you don’t need to worry about applying for a visa when visiting Cape Town as long as you’re not planning to stay for longer than 90 days.
