Flying to the Middle East from the UK

Here’s everything you need to know when flying from the UK to the Middle East, including flight times and entry requirements.

Flight times

The Middle East is a vast area and has lots of countries contained within it. As a result, flight times vary across the region depending on which destination you choose to visit.

For example, it takes around seven hours to fly from the UK to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, around five hours to reach Israel and Egypt, and less than four hours to fly to Turkey.

Airports in Manchester and London offer direct flights to most destinations in the Middle East, as well as indirect flights from smaller airports.

Entry requirements

Each country within the Middle East has its own individual entry requirements and the specifics of these will vary depending on which destination you intend to travel to.

Almost all countries in the region require a visa and a valid passport for a minimum of six months from your date of entry into the country, although there are some exceptions.
