The average flight time to Orlando from the UK is between 8 and 9 hours, depending upon your departure airport. A number of airlines fly direct, however you may also be able to find a great deal by changing flights on other carriers.

Entry Requirements

Tourists must obtain prior authorisation to enter the USA on a British passport, either on a visa, a Permanent Resident Card or through the Visa Waiver Programme.

For most travellers, the Visa Waiver Programme is the easiest, quickest and most cost-effective way to enter the country as this allows British Citizens to visit for up to 90 days. You simply need to complete an Electronic System for Travel Authorisation (ESTA) online at least 72 hours before you fly. The cost of doing this is $14 per person and can be done here. Always take care to ensure you are applying directly as it is known that certain third-parties will advertise the service, charging a premium.

- Orlando International Airport (MCO)
- Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB)

Orlando International Airport (MCO)

Orlando International Airport is located 6 miles south-east of Orlando itself and offers plenty of transport links including shuttle busses, taxis and car hire services to help you get on your way to your accommodation. Orlando’s local metro system, LYNX, offers a regular service between the airport and the city.

If you are lucky enough to be staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, Disney’s Magical Express offers free transfers both ways; a surefire hit with the kids.

Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB)
