You won’t have to worry about getting around the centre of Atlanta if you haven’t got a car. The public transport throughout the city is very good, it has integrated train and bus systems. Atlanta is a transport hub and home to the busiest airport in the world. You can get around by car, bus, taxi or the subway depending on what you prefer.

You will need to rent a car however if you want to go further than the neighbourhoods covered by MARTA (The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority) and outside of the city centre. If you are just going a short distance around the city you can grab a cab, but they aren’t cheap. Parking in the city centre is also quite expensive.
