Los Angeles: What To See


It’s difficult to summarise what there is to do in LA because there’s something interesting waiting for you around every corner. LA is littered with cultural experiences, entertainment venues and trendy neighbourhoods.

Some of the more obvious attractions include Universal Studios Hollywood, The Hollywood Museum and the Hollywood Walk of Fame. However, if you look beyond Hollywood you will uncover a completely different city.

Firstly there are the gorgeous beaches in LA where you can relax and unwind and enjoy the amazing weather. There are so many stunning beaches to choose from including Venice beach, Santa Monica Beach where you can enjoy the pier, or Malibu Surfrider beach where you can take advantage of the waves.

History buffs will love how many amazing museums are popping up all around LA. Some of the best museums in LA include the Getty Centre, The Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the California Science Centre which is ideal for families.

The Huntington Botanical Gardens are also well worth a visit. Here you can admire a huge collection of plants from a range of different environments. If you enjoy watching sports then head to the Staples Centre, the home of the LA Lakers.

You could head up to the Hollywood Sign to get a picture (although you can’t actually get that close to it) but one of the best places to see the LA landscapes from is the Griffith Observatory. Here you can take in jaw dropping views of Los Angeles, it’s a spectacular place to watch the sunset in this magical city.
