Brisbane is a very welcoming city with a growing arts and cultural scene. It’s a business city that is blossoming into something much more. Head to Queensland Gallery of Modern Art or the Museum of Brisbane to learn more about this up and coming city. Other notable buildings include the Brisbane City Hall and Parliament House, a government building that was first opened in 1868. Brisbane’s cultural centre is located in South Bank, here you will find some great art galleries to wander around.

There is a thriving restaurant scene in Brisbane, you certainly won’t be short of different restaurants to try. The city is home to award winning restaurants and some first class chefs.

There are also numerous places to shop in Brisbane, make your way to Queen Street Mall for some of the bigger stores.

As with most cities in Australia, Brisbane is packed with sports venues where you can catch a game and soak up the electric atmosphere. Visit the Suncorp Stadium where the Wallabies play some big games.
