Here’s everything you need to know when flying from the UK to Asia, including flight times and entry requirements.

Flight times

Considering Asia spans 30% of Earth’s total land area, it will come as no surprise that flight times vary drastically depending on which destination you want to visit.

For example, it can take less than four hours to get to Moscow, Russia, on a direct flight, while a flight to Manila in the Philippines can take up to 18 hours with a stopover.

Direct flights are available to some destinations in Asia from a number of UK cities, such as London and Manchester, while those destinations further afield will require stopovers and multiple flights.

Entry requirements

Because Asia is made up of multiple countries, the entry requirements will vary depending on which destination you intend to travel to.

Almost all countries in Asia require a visa (although there are some exceptions for travel under 30 days) and your passport must be valid for at least the duration of your visit, if not longer, in all destinations.

For some countries, you will also be required to have documents certifying the receipt of different vaccines.
