If you want to take advantage of the many festivals in San Francisco you might want to visit during the spring and summer months. In January there’s a 1.5 mile march in memory of Martin Luther King Jr, there are performances and festivities afterwards. The Chinese New Year Parade takes place in February where there is an annual treasure hunt around Chinatown.

Watch the St Patrick’s Day Parade in March or celebrate the arrival of spring at the Cherry Blossom Festival in April. Movie buffs will want to attend the San Francisco International Film Festival which also takes place in April. Music fans won’t want to muss San Francisco Jazz festival in June, and there’s also lots of partying at San Francisco LGBT Pride Parade.
