Hong Kong: Weather

There is a sub tropical climate in Hong Kong and the city experiences all four seasons. Hong Kong generally has warm weather; it’s sunny but humid in the summer with the occasional thunderstorm. Typhoon season begins in May and ends in November.


The average temperature in the summer is about 28 degrees. Expect the weather to be hot and humid with intermittent downpours.


Autumn is dry and a little cooler, but there is a still lot of sunshine to enjoy. Temperatures range between 19 and 28 degrees making it a good time to visit.


Evenings can be a little cooler in spring but temperatures can still get up to the late twenties in the daytime.


Winter is generally cool and dry, with temperatures sitting around 17 degrees.
