In April, a huge (but friendly) water fight takes places on the streets, it’s considered to be a good luck ritual.

Loy Krathong is usually celebrated in November, when respect is paid to the goddess of water. People meet around rivers and lakes and release pretty lotus shaped rafts that are decorated with flowers and candles.
