Auckland Weather


Auckland is one of the sunniest regions in New Zealand. It benefits from a warm, coastal climate. Although the weather can be changeable, Auckland doesn’t experience extremes of temperature. Summers are warm but sometimes humid and winters get a little wet but are still fairly mild.

Summer

The warmest month in the year on average is February when average temperatures are about 24 degrees. Summers are lovely and warm with temperatures in January around 23 degrees (January is also the driest month).

Autumn

Autumn in Auckland is between April and May with highs between 17 and 20 degrees.

Spring

Spring is between September and October. This is a pleasant time to visit as it is still fairly warm with temperatures peaking at 18 degrees.

Winter

The coldest month in Auckland is August. Winters are still mild with temperatures in June hovering around 14 degrees.
