Book cheap flights to Detroit, Michigan with Globehunters and explore ‘Motor City’, the home of the modern automobile and the Motown Sound.

Detroit is best known for being the city where Henry Ford’s ground-breaking Model T car rolled off the production line and set the standard for the cars that we drive today, as well as being home to the Motown record label which brought such artists as Diana Ross & the Supremes, Smokey Robinson and Stevie Wonder into the mainstream.

One of the major hubs of the Midwest, there’s plenty to see and do in Detroit, whether it be Hitsville U.S.A. (the original Motown headquarters), the Detroit Museum of Art, Renaissance Center, or taking in a game at Ford Field or the Joe Louis Arena.

The city is also home to some fantastic architecture, one of the biggest theatre districts in the US, plenty of great green spaces, and a whole host of cultural attractions.

There’s also a diverse and exciting nightlife scene once the sun goes down, with a booming music scene and three casinos if you’re feeling lucky.
